The Goldies Limousin herd, founded in 1977 by Jim Goldie, was among the early importations of Limousin into the UK and has always strived to be at the top end of the market. It is now run by Bruce and his wife Linda and their children Thomas and Isla.
The herd consists of around 60 pedigree cows with an extensive flushing programme concentrating on our noted female lines. The herd has achieved considerable success over the years including Overall Champion at the Royal Highland Show, The Royal Show and several breed record prices.
The herd now concentrates on bull and female sales with limited showing except at pre-sale events where champions, top prices and highest averages have been achieved on numerous occasions.
All cattle are performance recorded from birth. Many of our stock are well in to the top 1%. Performance figures can be accessed through Taurus.
