Townfoot Farm, near Dumfries in South West Scotland

Home to the Goldies herd of Limousin cattle and flocks of Valais Blacknose, Texels and Zwartbles sheep. Pedigree sire prospects, commercial crossing bulls and rams, top quality breeding females and semen from select sires are always available for sale privately and at auction.

The farm is run by Bruce and Linda alongside their children Thomas and Isla along with Bruce’s parents, Jim and Kay. There is one full-time stocksman on the farm.

Townfoot is a 300-acre farm purchased in 1984 to join the close by unit of South Bowerhouses which is now run by Bruce’s brother Hamish.

Our aim is to produce top-end quality pedigree stock suited for both pedigree and commercial use. The herd and flocks are high health and strive to be at the top end of their breeds.
